Kim G. Sherman, MA, LCPC

With over a decade of experience working at Leyden Family Services as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and now in her sixth year of private practice, Kim Sherman is experienced, compassionate and highly regarded by her clients, colleagues and surrounding local communities.  

When growing up Kim experienced her own trauma which motivated her to become a therapist.  This has helped Kim work with her clients to bring a real world perspective about treatment and what it takes to help others.

Kim's approach is genuine where she is truly herself and incorporates some self-disclosure, with unconditional positive regard for the client and with empathy.  Your individual personal experience is the basis and standard for living and therapeutic effect.

Kim was also an instructor at College of DuPage in the Human Services department and taught the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Certificate Program to students. 

Born in 1958, Kim is from Chicago and raised her son Nicholas in Park Ridge, Illinois.
